At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, wristbands for the Pumpkin Succulent Workshop go on sale at the Woodbury Recreation Office at 108 Lamplighter. The workshop itself isn't until Friday, October 30. Each household can send two residents, and a $20 wristband covers the materials for one pumpkin succulent plus light refreshments.
That gap between the sale date and the event date shows up all season. Most of the Woodbury Community Association's fall and holiday events are ticketed through the Recreation Office. You buy in person, there's a per-household cap, and the sale opens on a set morning. The Fall Festival on October 17, the November 14 garage sale and the December 19 Santa luau all work this way. For a Woodbury household, the date to plan around is often the one weeks earlier, when the line forms at 108 Lamplighter.
Here's the season as the association's community events page lists it as of October 7, 2026, with the gating date in its own column.
| Event | Wristband or registration opens | Event date | Cost | Household limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fall Festival | Friday, Sept. 18 | Saturday, Oct. 17, 1–4 p.m. | $5 per child wristband, adults free | 4 wristbands per home |
| Pumpkin Succulent Workshop | Saturday, Oct. 10, 9:30 a.m. | Friday, Oct. 30, about 6–7 p.m. | $20 per wristband | 2 residents |
| Community Garage Sale | Friday, Oct. 23, 9 a.m. | Saturday, Nov. 14, 7–11 a.m. | $3 per spot | 2 spots |
| Santa Comes to Woodbury luau | Friday, Nov. 20, 9 a.m. | Saturday, Dec. 19, two sessions | $5 per wristband, child or adult | 6 residents |
| Woodbury Snow Day | No sale listed | Friday, Dec. 18, slope ready by noon | Free | None listed |
Pricing changes from event to event. At the Fall Festival, adults get in free and only children need $5 wristbands. At the December luau, everyone in your group pays $5, adults included, with a cap of six people per household. The two caps are counted differently. For the festival, count the kids, up to four. For the luau, count everyone, up to six.
The in-person sales come with a few rules, and they're repeated across the event listings.
The fine print matters most for the garage sale. You pick your spot from whatever is left when you register, and you can't change it later. The association's listing says plainly, "We will reach max capacity." It runs rain or shine. Registration opens Friday, October 23, at 9 a.m., three weeks before the sale. The spot map is first come, first served, so the households that show up that morning get the most choice.
The Fall Festival listing has its own catch. The association asks families to arrive on time so each child gets a free pumpkin, which is limited to one per wristband. Lost wristbands won't be replaced, and there are no refunds on the day of the event.
The festival runs from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Competition Pool parking lot off Towngate and Revival. The association lists a Ferris wheel, a giant slide, a pirate ship ride and a train ride around the Great Lawn, plus booth games, a DJ, bouncers, balloon artists and airbrush tattoos. Rides have height and weight limits. Cali Delights will be selling desserts from its food truck.
At 3 p.m., the 6th annual dog Halloween costume contest starts its crowd voting by the DJ booth. There are three categories: Small Dogs, Big Dogs, and Companions for a dog and human pair. Every winner gets a prize, and the association asks entrants to RSVP by email through the contact on its events page.
The at-home pumpkin carving and decorating contest also needs a calendar note. Photos go by email with your name and Woodbury address, and they're due by noon on Thursday, October 22. Adults and children are judged separately, and winners get gift cards.
Not every listing at 108 Lamplighter comes with a sale date, and most of the ones without one fall on weeknights.
Food truck Tuesdays run on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, 5 to 8 p.m., in the sport court parking lot. October brings Taco Miendo on the 13th and Doggos Food Truck on the 27th. Menus with prices usually go up on the association's Instagram story, @woodbury.hoa, close to 5 p.m. that day.
Family Fun Night with Hoag is Thursday, October 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Woodbury Clubroom. It's free for residents, with refreshments, family games and health screenings.
The Red Cross blood drive is Thursday, October 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Clubroom. The listing doesn't mention a wristband sale, but it does have an advance step. Donors schedule through the Red Cross site by searching "Woodbury."
Woodbury Snow Day is Friday, December 18, in the lot by the Competition Pool off Towngate and Revival. It has a large snow play area and a six-lane sledding slope, free for residents. The association will have a limited number of sleds and suggests bringing your own. The snow is ready by noon, and the listing says it may last a couple of days before it melts.
The succulent workshop sale opens at 9:30 a.m. on October 10. Half an hour later, the Fall Artisan Makers Market opens at Woodbury Town Center. It runs that Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with more than 30 artisans, according to Irvine Company Retail's event page. The Town Center sits at 6200 to 6460 Irvine Boulevard, so a Woodbury household can get the wristband errand done first and still reach the market when it opens.
Thursday, October 22, is just as crowded. The Red Cross drive opens in the Clubroom at 10 a.m., pumpkin contest photos are due at noon, and the Town Center hosts a Little Beats pop-up dance party for kids from 10 a.m. to noon, near the food court by LA Fitness.
People driving to the Town Center for those events will eventually find a different lot. On July 21, 2026, the City of Irvine approved a minor change to the center's master plan covering parking, internal circulation, lighting and landscaping. Unless appealed, it took effect July 29.
According to the approval letter, the on-site intersection at Sand Canyon Avenue and Strata loses its north leg. The lanes are being changed so more cars can stack up on Strata coming in from Sand Canyon. A new drive aisle on City Stroll will connect to the parking areas, and new cart corrals are going in. Strata gets added pole lighting, and the rows of palms along City Stroll and the central plaza get accent lighting.
The lot loses 45 spaces, dropping from 2,002 to 1,957. That's still 220 more than the 1,737 the center's current uses require, and landscaping grows by 1,484 square feet. No construction schedule has been published, so there's no start date to plan around yet.
Work is closer to finished inside the neighborhood. The City's September 2026 Public Works construction report lists the Woodbury street rehabilitation and slurry seal project as in its traffic striping phase, with striping expected to wrap up in October. Intermittent daytime lane closures are possible until then.
All of these come from schedules as posted on October 7, 2026, and the association can change them, so check the events page before you head to 108 Lamplighter.
